ITINERARY
Day 1Pakse Arrival (D)
Upon your morning arrival in Pakse, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour of the picturesque peninsula between the Se Don and Mekong Rivers. Visit a local pagoda for a worship experience and engage in insightful conversations with monks and novices, gaining a deeper understanding of Theravada Buddhism and their daily lives within the temple. From the pagoda’s vantage point, take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and rivers before returning to your hotel.
Experience a welcome dinner at a local restaurant in Pakse. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2Pakse- Tree top explore (B-L-D)
Depart for a one-hour drive to the village of Ban Nongluang. Upon arrival, you will meet your local guide for a crucial safety briefing before commencing your hike through coffee plantations and vegetable gardens leading to a semi-evergreen forest. Begin your trek by winding downhill through scenic landscapes, including ravines, waterfalls, and flower-studded plateaus. Cross an impressive forest walkway that spans a steep river valley, providing stunning views. Continue to Tiger Waterfall and then to the magnificent Kamet Waterfall, where water cascades over 100 meters into a lush, forested basin. After a refreshing break for lunch, enjoy an exhilarating zip line ride through the treetops.
Settle in for the night at the camp and enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant. Share stories and experiences from your adventurous day over dinner. Retire to tree houses situated approximately 10 meters above the forest floor, constructed from wood, bamboo, and grass in traditional Lao style. Access to the tree houses is exclusively via zip line.
Day 3Trekking jungle (B-L-D)
After breakfast, embark on a 30-minute trek to reach another exciting set of zip lines. The highlight of this experience is the longest zip line, measuring 400 meters, offering an exhilarating thrill and a unique perspective of the upper forest canopy. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch amidst the serene surroundings of the forest. After lunch, make your way back to camp via the scenic Red Rock Stream. Take advantage of this time to relax and swim in the refreshing waters.
Spend another night at the camp, fully immersed in the tranquility of your forest surroundings. By this time, you should feel completely at home in this enchanting natural setting!
Day 4Trekking jungle- Pakse- Departure (B-L)
Trek uphill through a stunning landscape featuring old-growth trees that have successfully evaded logging. The trail culminates at a steep rock wall, which you will ascend using a secure steel cable anchored with iron bolts. This last activity – rock climbing experience – requires a slightly larger dose of courage and adrenaline. But don’t worry, it’s entirely safe and doable! After reaching the summit, one of the highest peaks you are rewarded with a stunning vista of forests and water falls. On clear days you can even see into neighbouring Thailand. After a mountain-top lunch, hike for about 90 minutes on an easy trail to Ban Nongluang.
A vehicle will be waiting to transport you back to Pakse. From there, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight
