ITINERARY
Upon your morning arrival in Bangkok, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, we will embark on a long-tail boat excursion along the Chao Phraya River and its vibrant interior canals, providing you with stunning views of local life. During the journey, we will make a stop at Wat Arun, known as the Temple of Dawn. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure, with an overnight stay in Bangkok.
After breakfast, we will embark on a visit to the Grand Royal Palace, a significant site for the royal ceremonies of Thailand. Located within the same complex is the stunning Wat Phra Kaew, renowned for housing the revered Statue of the Emerald Buddha. Following our exploration of this magnificent complex, we will proceed to Wat Pho, famous for its impressive reclining Buddha statue.
In the afternoon, we will transfer to the Jim Thompson House, situated in the heart of Bangkok’s city center. Here, we will delve into the fascinating story of the American businessman and traveler, Jim Thompson, who dedicated his life to introducing Thai silk to the global fashion industry. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore his remarkable residence, which showcases traditional Thai teak architecture, meticulously assembled from historic houses sourced from across the country. Additionally, we will uncover the intriguing details surrounding Thompson’s mysterious disappearance in the Malaysian jungle in 1967, while also appreciating the diverse collection of art he amassed during his 25 years in Thailand.
Early in the morning, we drive to the southwest of Bangkok, visitting the Maeklong railway market, taking photo, and enjoying the local snack in the market before driving to Damnoen Saduak – a rural floating market. Stop for a motor boat trip along the waterway to the picturesque floating market of Damnoen Saduak. Afterwards we continue the road to the city of Kanchanaburi. Upon arrival, visit the World War II memorial including the Jeath War Museum, Cemetery. Lunch will be served at a local floating restaurant next to the Kwai River Bridge. We continue to Wang Pho to boarding a train for riding along the beautiful river for around 30 minutes to Ban Kao station and transfer then city to visit Kwai bridge. Overnight in Kanchanaburi.
In the morning, we will depart for Ayutthaya, which is located approximately an hour away from the former Thai capital. Experience the grandeur of this ancient city through its remarkable temple and palace ruins. Our first stop will be Wat Phu Khao Thong, known as the “Monastery of the Golden Mount,” situated just outside Ayutthaya. Next, we will explore the ancient palace and Wat Phra Si Sanphet, a significant historical site. Additionally, you will visit Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit, home to one of the largest bronze Buddha statues in Thailand.
Lunch will be on your own, allowing you to savor local cuisine at your leisure. To conclude the day, you will have the opportunity to visit Wat Lokaya Sutha, where a large reclining Buddha image is enshrined. We will spend the night in Ayutthaya.
In the morning, we will visit the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, which was built during the Ayutthaya era. This palace features an eclectic collection of buildings that harmoniously blend European, Khmer, Thai, and Chinese architectural styles. It is a favored summer retreat for the King.
We will transfer back to Bangkok around noon. The remainder of the day will be free for you to explore at your leisure until we transfer you to Bangkok Airport for your international flight. This concludes our service
