Our Commitments | Jem Travel
As a Destination Management Company based in Hanoi, Jem Travel sits at a specific point in the tourism supply chain: between the agents who trust us with their clients, and the communities, guides, and suppliers across Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos who make each itinerary real. The commitments below aren’t a values statement we wrote once and filed away — they’re how we actually make decisions day to day.
Honesty and Transparency
We tell agents what’s actually included, what isn’t, and what to expect — before booking, not after. If an itinerary requires a compromise (a hotel substitution, a route change due to weather), we say so directly rather than smoothing it over. Agents reselling Jem Travel itineraries should never have to manage a surprise their client discovers on the ground.
Professionalism
This shows up most clearly when something goes wrong. A delayed flight, a closed road, a last-minute group change — our team is trained to adjust the itinerary in real time rather than treat it as the client’s problem to absorb. Flexible, adaptive itinerary management is one of our core operating principles, not an exception we make under pressure.
Accountability
We select suppliers — hotels, guides, restaurants — who share our approach to minimizing environmental impact and respecting the places we operate in. In practice, this means boutique and locally-owned properties over large chains where quality is comparable, guides hired directly and briefed as storytellers rather than rotated generalists, and itineraries that route spending toward the communities our travelers actually visit. We don’t claim this is a complete solution to tourism’s impact — but it’s a deliberate, ongoing set of choices, not a marketing line.
Operational Excellence
Our team is built around long-term regional expertise rather than rotating staff: Operations Manager Hoang Thi Vinh and Account Manager Nguyen Thi Huong oversee execution on the ground, and our guides typically work the same region for years, not months. That continuity is what allows us to maintain 3–5 star quality standards and respond quickly when an agent or client needs something adjusted mid-trip.
Innovative Mindset
We deliberately avoid running the same standard loop indefinitely. Our itinerary design is refreshed regularly to reflect new experiences, new partner properties, and feedback from the agents and travelers we work with — so a Jem Travel itinerary in 2026 looks different from one in 2024, not because the brand changed, but because the destination, and our knowledge of it, keeps deepening.
These principles are also why Jem Travel holds International Tour Operator Licence No. 01-2615/2024/CDLQGVN-GP LHQT — operating accountably within Vietnam’s regulatory framework is the baseline, not a separate achievement, behind everything described above.
