Our Story | Meet Gemma, Founder of Jem Travel
My name is Nguyen Nhu Ngoc — known professionally as Gemma — and I am the founder of Jem Travel. Born and raised in Hanoi, I built this company around a simple conviction: that the best way to show Vietnam to European travelers is through people who understand both sides of that exchange.
My Journey and Background
After graduating in Italian Language and Culture from Hanoi University in 2012, I moved to Italy to pursue a Master’s Degree in Tourism Management at the University of Calabria. That experience shaped how I think about this business — it gave me a direct, firsthand understanding of what European agents and travelers actually expect, not just what guidebooks assume they want.
Over the ten years that followed, I worked with European operators designing tailor-made itineraries across Vietnam and Southeast Asia, building a network of local partners and refining an approach centered on quality, personalization, and reliability rather than volume.
Founding Jem Travel
I founded Jem Travel in March 2024, with a clear position: a boutique DMC offering 3- to 5-star travel services for agents whose clients expect more than a standard package. Today, Jem Travel is run by a small, dedicated team committed to showing the best of Indochina through experiences that are curated in detail, not assembled from a template.

Our Italian Market Representative
As we grew our presence in Europe, I met Simone Vallone, a tourism professional with deep, firsthand knowledge of the Italian travel trade. The collaboration was immediate — built on a shared insistence on quality, transparency, and genuine attention to the client. Simone now serves as Jem Travel’s Official Representative for the Italian market, acting as a direct point of contact for our Italian partners and ensuring the kind of responsive, personal communication this market expects.

Jem Travel works closely with travel agencies and tour operators to develop exclusive products and bespoke itineraries — built around what makes each destination distinct, and precise enough to meet the expectations of the traveler at the other end.
